As the great Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius once said:

"THOSE WHO SEE THE PRESENT HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING IN THE PAST AND EVERYTHING IN THE FUTURE TO COME."¹

We could not agree more. In fact, our team is dedicated to the process of truly SEEING the PRESENT. This is the fine art of Street Photography - where chance encounters, random juxtapositions, and great compassion form iconic images at a decisive or poignant moment in time.

Take a walk or urban discovery hike for the sole purpose of just seeing. Bring our app on your phone. Go into Shoot Mode. Walk, look and when your intuition leads you to the right place and that electrifying magical perfect moment - lift your finger to trap time in a burst of exposures. Dip your hand down to the ground, up, behind a flower, above your head, or anywhere your hand will safely go to see from that perspective.

Spend the day just looking and releasing the camera shutter by lifting your finger. After your shoot, look at the exposures and witness the magic of what you saw - but also more profoundly see what you did not see yet is recorded on your film. This is magic.

In modern times, when Alfred Stieglitz stood on the streets of New York City hour after hour photographing horses in the rain he did so for the exhilaration of seeing - simply seeing. Later he went on to famously say: "In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality."

It is this sense of reality, the sense of feeling with your eyes and mind that we hope our StreetPix Professional app can bring you closer to your best work as a photographer.

StreetPix Professional Camera helps you SEE the present. As visual artists, we love the world. We love the light. We love the people, we humans, the play of circumstances, the rhythm and the dance of light painting everything it can touch. With great respect, we see beauty and magic in all things, around every corner, in every corner and even between the air and the light itself - there is always magic - at least that is how we see time.

StreetPix is specially designed for the artistic hunter of these rare moments -  we who wander according to intuition and find beauty and magic everywhere. It includes features that are crucial when attempting to see the elusive present and capture it. Exploring with StreetPix is an adventure filled with anticipation, compassion, intuition, art, discovery, timing, and luck. This is the essence of art and photography!

StreetPix has no preview screen so you are not influenced by a camera "view finder." Looking at the world on a screen prevents you from seeing the magic around you. Instead, use your intuition to frame your shot.

Once in a while you may have a "WOW Shot" - a shot - an exposure you cannot explain or put into words. Is it a photograph, a concept to paint, a form expressing some artistic truth? Or, is it so abstract it exists only as an emotion? No matter how one tries to define a "WOW Shot" it is certain to be a remarkable image with great meaning to you.

Beyond our unusual photography techniques, StreetPix offers an efficient work flow to find your WOW Shots among the hundreds or thousands of exposures you make. The work flow is to first SHOOT, DEVELOP, PROOF, and then hopefully find one exposure of remarkable artistic value.

As Marcus Aurelius well professed, seeing the present is a deeply profound human experience of such rare beauty that it is one of the great riches in the world. In other words, those who see the present have seen all the past and all in the future to come. You simply cannot fake it or buy this experience.

YOU CAN MAKE A PHOTOGRAPH THAT IS OF SUCH RARE BEAUTY THAT WHEN YOU SEE IT YOU SAY "WOW"

¹ Officially, the exact quote of Marcus Aurelius is more properly known as: "HE WHO HAS SEEN PRESENT THINGS HAS SEEN ALL, BOTH EVERYTHING WHICH HAS TAKEN PLACE FROM ALL ETERNITY AND EVERYTHING WHICH WILL BE FOR TIME WITHOUT END; FOR ALL THINGS ARE OF ONE KIN AND OF ONE FORM.", see Marcus Aelius Aurelius Antoninus: The Meditations (167 CE), Translated by George Long, revised by Paul Brians

Finally there is a camera app that can assist professional photographers in creating beautiful works all the way from the moment of capture through the selection process and on to the printing press!
